stake confrence

I have never heard of this but....we had a regional stake confrence today. It included 15 stakes in hawaii and was broadcast from Salt Lake. We had Elder Uchtdorf and Elder Eyring speak.....that was rad! They spoke about every member should read and study Preach my Gospel. And the sacredness of sacrament! thats all for now....xoxo ruby

I MADE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME HOMEMADE AND IT ROCKED!! HERE IS THE RECIPE ....SO ENJOY! AARRIBA!

1CUP LONG GRAIN RICE

5CUPS OF WATER

1/2CUP MILK

1/2TBLSP VANILLA

1/2TBLSP

GROUND CINNAMON

2/3CUPS WHITE SUGAR

blend water and rice for 1minute

let rice water stand @ room temp for 3 hrs

strain the rice

add vanilla,cinnamon,&sugar

chill for few hours or overnight!

when the still small voice whispers...OBEY...I was on my way to yoga this week adn had 3 distinct feelings that i needed to go to the temple!!! so i turned around knowing that i couldnt do both...the reward is eternal!

ok so we all have heard of Bikram yoga right??? It basically

yoga with a twist! It's usually an hour and a half session...in a room heated to about 105-110 degrees!!!!!! HOT I know! well...i took my first class on thursday and WOW!!! I have never been so sore! and feel good at the same time! Im talking my forearms are sore!! we worked like every muscle in the body!! Now there were some poses I could nt quite get but after time I shall be able to! I am doing a week trial and I am very excited!!! Its my new THANG!! I highly recommend you to investigate for a bikram class near you!I would think some gyms and all yoga places should offer it! and after about a month you cna just buy it on audio and do it in your own home with a space heater!so sisters get ready we might have a class at the cabin in december!

SHE'S BACK!!!

Yesterday was my first day back being a missionary...it was fabulous. I worked with sister wong and Sesa. Sweet polyniesians ladies. It was funny bwcause right when we opened we were busy!! I just started taking peoples orders and the spirit was leading me directley to where i needed to go. The sisters were impressed with my skills! So now every friday and saturday that is where you can find me!!

I am not yet finished with Great great great great grandfathers journal yet! but i am at the point in his life where he is serving a mission here in hawaii!!! It is so cool to think he was here! He has just recieved enough money to return to the mainland...and just about missed the vessel that he was to aboard!!! no seriously the vessel was about 2 miles away and grandpa johnson was jumpin and hollering to get the captains attention to come back!!! LOL....i can only imagine!
well I am so tired today...tomorrow is Fay's birthday and tonight we are having our home teachers over for dinner(they are making it!) and a lesson! They are like our brothers!!! It is so sweet....our relationship with them is so special! anywho....did you get mimi's christmas email?

so i recieved a call that the stake presidents(quentin's dad) wanted an interview with me!!!!Oh my heart was full.....of what? I can not discribe! Maybe it was staying out to late the other night? LOL.....So i met with him this morning @ 730am...I recieved a letter from him confirming my 6 month service mission!!! I put my papers in about 2months ago and will be serving a part time service mission in the Materails Managment Dept. at Distribution Services in Laie.
I am so filled with joy!!!
President went on to remind me that even though i might feel like i am not doing much by this mission....that in the eyes of the Lord it was a great service reinderd. well I will be taking on the morning shifts and the distribution center is on the temple grounds. So I am sure to form habits of working and attending sessions on a regular basis! I am so greatful to be found worthy and trusted my the Lord to perform such a great call!!!!

ok so you know how some people have said once or twice that the pick up a book and can't put it down?
It all started yesterday.... Its about 320 pages of our 4th GREAT Grandfather who was called to do great work upon the days of the pioneers. I have cried, laughed, and even felt the fear of him loosing his life. I am only on the 4th chapter and I woke up this morning @ 630....and began to read. Around 1030 I fell asleep from my eyes being so tired. But dont you worry this book is going with me to work and i just might finish it today! Oh! silly me his name is Benjamin F. Johnson...and a beloved ancestor that i am getting to know so well!!!!

Fay she is from Minnesota and plays

volleyball for BYUH....other than that she eats all my food

wears all my clothes. and we do anything and everything

together.

This is LuLu and Ruby....we are like sisters!

to play and find herself! and that she did. she is now getting

married! wow i must have given great advise! I love her so much!
